SWIM champ Michael Klim has celebrated the biggest victory of his life, marrying his Balinese princess, Lindy Rama.

The couple tied the knot at 4pm yesterday at the St Joan of Arc church in Brighton.

They were joined by several of Klim’s high-profile sports mates, along with friends and family.

In an emotional entrance, a stunning Ms Rama walked down the aisle with the couple’s three-month-old daughter, Stella, in her arms.

Klim, fresh after an arduous Commonwealth Games campaign, was all smiles as he arrived, greeting guests before walking inside.

But the big day was not without a touch of the bizarre.

The couple sold the rights to their wedding pictures to a women’s magazine, sparking a bizarre game of hide-and-seek on the church steps as Ms Rama arrived in a silver Mercedes-Benz.

The luxury sedan mounted the gutter and drove over a path before stopping directly in front of the double doors to the church.

Decoy guests then surrounded the car and shielded the bride from waiting media as she stepped out.

Friends described the newlyweds as perfect for each other.

A proud Grant Hackett presented the rings. “It’s obviously a great day for them, and Klimmy’s had so much success in his career,” he said.

“He certainly deserves all of this, as does Lindy, who is wonderful and great for him.”

Oarsome Foursome rowing star and close friend James Tomkins was rapt Klim’s big day had arrived.

“It was touch and go for a while but he’s finally settled down, which is good,” he joked.

“It’s fantastic. It’s a massive day for them and obviously for Stella it’s a massive day as well.

“But I missed the bucks’ night. He had his bucks’ night over Easter, for goodness sake.”

Former teammate and now commentator Nicole Livingstone was also on hand to celebrate.

“It’s a fantastic day. They’re wonderful together so I’m really pleased to be here today to see them get married,” she said.

A guest list of about 140 later partied at a reception at St Kilda’s Circa restaurant.

At home in Bali, Rama is referred to as Anak Agung, which translates as “child of the king”. Her uncle is the King of Denpasar.
